Jane, I am so happy you shared this! Our relationships with our four-legged kin are fascinating to me. I love the way you merge your personal experience with the research you have done. Last year I developed a relationship with a bevy of white-tailed does in the wood behind my house. Hoping to rejoin them when it's a bit warmer. Looking forward to more from you on your Substack. :)

I want to know more!! What preferences are being identified? Are horses fickle? Have there been any major surprises? Very cool work Jane. Great Job!

I have so much to write about.. Horses actually like blankets when they need them.. will let you know if the fit isn't right when you figure out the right questions to ask.. I guess, above all, they are quicker and far more logical in their answers than I expected.

Thank you, Katharine! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. My work with the equine veterinarians really helped me focus on factual evidence and details. And, my love of exploring the human experience creates a desire to share my thoughts with everyone. I've seen some similarities to horses in deer body language. Here's to spring and enjoying our wild neighbors presence, again!
